A one star rating is way to high for there customer service. On the phone for ever again to try and resolve a warranty issue. Last time I tried it took weeks to respond with nothing resolved. Useless warranty! Thanks for nothing!!!

Great concept. And the mower has served us well for a bit over one season of mowing. But then the self-propulsion switch failed. (Having now read others' reviews, I realize we are by no means the only ones.)
The mower is supposed to be under warranty, but it's impossible to get warranty service when EGO pushes you to call and then doesn't answer its phone. And they don't answer online service requests, either (after a week, so far).
"We are experiencing unusually high call volume," the prerecorded message says once every 60 seconds. How gruesomely awful. Especially when you're calling from outside the US and have to pay high phone fees.
I have just called for the fourth time and sat on hold for 20 minutes . . . at the moment their website says they were opening their customer service line for the day.
But that's the FOURTH time I have called.
I have held for 40 minutes in the middle of the day on a Monday. I have held for 20+ minutes on another day and over 10 minutes on still another occasion.
I have left messages with my phone number and email address. I have left my phone number for a call-back. I have attempted to contact them via their website. . . .
It doesn't matter. It's been two weeks since the first message. They have lost my trust.
How horrendously sad!

No customer support

A problem with the battery of my new electrical a lawn mower, so I did send an email.
One week later, still no answer so I repeated my email.
Two weeks still no answer, so I wrote for the third time.
And now, three weeks later, still no answer.
The product may be good, but without a proper customer support, it becomes useless.

I purchased a 21” power mower 2 years…

I purchased a 21” power mower 2 years ago and have enjoyed it. Recently I decided to purchase an EGO trimmer and edger from Lowe’s stores in Edmonton and Red Deer. I live 50 mins from each store so it was not an easy task.
Both stores did not have either product, did not know when they would have product, have not had any product for a long period of time and had no idea where to find any. They told me to check other stores on line. I did that and none had any in stock.
I don’t know what is going on with EGO but this is extremely poor customer service and I suspect you may end up loosing the market to Ryobi and others. That is to bad as you have a good product. Of course, that means nothing if you can’t buy it.
I also went to your web site and was unable to find any email contact info on your site. People don’t call company customer service anymore. I had to search and don’t know if it will even work until I hit send. Poor, poor service Ego.

I bought an EGO 2156SP a month ago

I bought an EGO 2156SP a month ago. It never worked. Waited for hours to contact tech support. It was determined the mower needed to be replaced. The problem is EGO tells me they do not have any 2156SP in stock. It has been almost a month now and they still do not have and answer as to when they will send me a new one. I think I am going to give up on this brand. Unless they tell me they will send me a new one out and ship it tomorrow this mower is going back to Lowes and EGO tools will never see me again.

Two mowers gone bad

Two mowers. Both the same problem. Blade motor simply went dead. Customer service is sorry.

Shocked at the nonexistent customer service

I bought the best mower EGO makes in April 2021 and after only 45 minutes of use, the self propulsion mechanism stopped working. I have been on hold for over one hour and 55 minutes already at the 855-346-5656 number - with no human coming on the line. Beyond disappointing, especially when you compare it to companies that offer a chat function and otherwise offer great customer service (e.g., Amazon).

Beyond terrible customer service

Bought my first Ego mower two years ago and have enjoyed it. Three weeks ago, the blades stopped turning. Attempted to get it serviced, but couldn’t find a reliable service solution. So I bought a new one. And the blades don’t engage/doesn’t mow straight out of the box. I am taking it back, and I am returning to getting my older model serviced. I have spent hours trying to reach them. I have left messages and requested call backs to no avail. Truly unbelievable service.

The mower goes until it doesn't

I bought an Ego self-propelled lawn mower in 2019 and it lasted for a few months until the switch for the self-propel mechanism failed. I waited so long for warranty repairs to be preformed that eventually Ego contacted me and offered to replace the original mower with a new one for free. Okay fine, I accepted their generous offer.
The second mower lasted through 2020. But when I tried to use it again in late February of 2021 for the first time this season, the self-propel switch had failed again. This mower is now also awaiting warranty repairs for who knows how long.
I am currently shopping for a different brand of mower and will get rid of the Ego if and when I ever get it back. I need a mower that I can rely on and not fail every few months. Since the self-propel switch seems to be a chronic weak point with Ego mowers, I don't understand why Ego doesn't re-engineer this mechanism. In any case, I give up. Ego has lost me as a customer. What a disappointment.

Terrible Customer Service - none in fact!

This review concerns my experience with a battery strimmer, or line trimmer as some call it.
The tool is light and easy to use, although the "angle of attack" - the relationship to the ground - doesn't really suit my height. The hand grip has been adjusted exactly as the instructions say.
So why only one star?
Well their admin and customer service is awful. When you buy one of these, you have to register. Fair enough. So I tried. The "kit" I purchased included a battery and changer. Only the strmmer shows up on the registration which should extend the warranty to 5 years on the machine and 3 years on the battery, so I asked the the question "do I need to add the other items?". No response apart from the usual "would you give us a good rating please?"
I replied that I'd be happy to once my questions were answered, however instead of answering my simple question, they decided to reply and "moderate" my review.
So, if you purchase one of these - or anything from them - be prepared for getting ignored.
The kit isn't earth shattering and certainly not good enough to warrant the level of iffy customer service you get.
Customers make paydays, people!
